A heavenly send-off for a beloved sax player who played with Olympia Brass Band and Preservation Hall Jazz Band, among many others. He mentored and influenced several generations of jazz musicians to ensure the future of the only indigenous musical form that originated in New Orleans and was the ambassador for all that is good about the musical and social traditions.
The female Grand Marshal is Jennifer Jones and she seems to lead a lot of second lines and jazz funerals around New Orleans. She's everywhere!
